As a product designer ..

I analyzed existing data and turned the findings into concrete actions to help older adults access value from their property by selling a share while still keeping their home.

Work done

Over time, many key aspects of the user journey had grown and needed restructuring, along with the flexibility to scale in the future.

Checkout: In-depth breakdown

1

The Problem

Page metrics revealed: the current checkout is the main barrier to conversion.
2

The user

People 60+ who own their home but struggle to maintain it on a limited pension. They value independence and want to stay in their familiar environment, yet face financial and digital barriers.
3

User journey

I reorganized the whole connected flow to the portal. 1. After a set of questions, you can finish the checkout, and create an account. 2. or finetune it more, to get a accurate offer.
4

Reducing complexity

With Oskar’s fears in mind, reorganizing the information hierarchy became central to my design solution.
5

Systems thinking

Creating all components while reusing the existing design system to ensure consistency across the flow.

Blueprint

A clear structure designed to guide the user through a consistent pattern.

Prototyping

I created high-fidelity prototypes to ensure the experience aligned with the design vision.

Design to development

Through regular meetings with developers I address feasibility, implementation, and design accuracy. This enables collaboration and ownership.
